Release Notes

Soft Close flags late time without blocking it, Time Entry Access per role, automations that finish subtasks and clear out old Done work, and burndown charts you can trust — plus a long list of smaller fixes.

⏱️ Time tracking: flag late entries, choose who sees time

  • Soft Close marks late time instead of blocking it. Time logged after a period's grace window still saves, flagged Late, so managers see it without anyone being locked out. It runs alongside Time Tracking Lock — Lock monthly and Soft Close weekly, say. 📚 Time Tracking Lock and Soft Close
  • Time Entry Access, role by role. Switch it off and that role no longer sees or logs time: no Time Tracking tab, Time Spent section, time column or card badge. Reports and exports are unaffected. 📚 Roles and permissions

⚙️ Automations that tidy up after you

  • Subtasks follow their parents. With Automate New/Done on, completing an item completes its subtasks, and reopening a subtask reopens its parent. A parent completes on its own only once everything under it is done.
  • Clear out work that has sat in Done. A new automation trigger acts on items that have been in Done on a board for a set number of hours or days — move them on, or take them off the board.
  • Archived boards can be deleted for good, once you type the board's name. Their items stay in their workstreams.

📈 Charts you can trust

  • Burndown projections are realistic again. Work added mid-range no longer pushes the projected finish months out, and the current period shows progress so far plus a projected end. 📚 Burn down
  • The Tag filter now filters every analytics report, time tracking included. Saved views with a Tag filter will show different numbers, because they were never actually filtered before.
  • Flow charts no longer squash into the left edge early in the month.

✨ Also new

  • Reorder rows from the keyboard. Tab to the grab handle, Space to pick up, arrows to move, Space to drop — announced to screen readers — on board tables, child items, subtasks, the Knowledge Base and settings lists.
  • Tables follow dark themes instead of showing as a bright white block.
  • CSV exports are safe to open. A value a spreadsheet would run as a formula is saved as text, so a hostile item title can't run when the file opens. Excel shows the leading apostrophe; Google Sheets hides it.

🎫 Service Desk

  • Forwarded replies land on the right ticket. When a colleague forwards a customer's reply to something the desk sent, it joins that ticket instead of opening a duplicate. 📚 Email channels
  • Requests staff file for a customer are live immediately — no surprise verification email.
  • A new "Converted to ticket" notification, off by default, in everyone's notification settings.
  • The email confirmation link no longer hangs on a spinning logo.

🧹 Quality improvements

Loads of small quality improvements — the kind you'd only notice if they were still broken:

  • Public request forms no longer go blank as someone types.
  • Wide comments scroll instead of being cut off.
  • Long Knowledge Base articles scroll inside the page again.
  • An article's history always marks the right version as Current.
  • The Activity tab loads for items with a very long history.
  • Items linked to many GitHub commits no longer slow down edits or lists.
  • Large boards now recognise when every item has loaded.
  • Pull request checks show one current result per check, as GitHub does.
  • Images with very long file names no longer stop attachments updating.
  • Relationships and board links work on Jira and Azure DevOps imported items.
  • Jira and Azure DevOps syncs now move dependent items' dates.
  • New Jira connections verify every update; re-select your project to protect an existing one.
  • People invited who sign in with Google or SSO keep their real name.
  • Admins can hide installed plugins from a role's menu.
  • In new organizations, the Admin role can switch Service Desk on.
  • Portal items opened from a shared list show their pictures.
  • Replies from staff who raised their own ticket count as the customer's.
  • Bounced and spam-flagged ticket emails are marked, and repeat sends stopped.
  • Converting an item to a ticket can no longer half-finish.
  • Erasing a customer also removes what their emails and form uploads created.
  • A picture removed from a form before submitting isn't kept.
  • Slack messages containing a blank image now arrive.
  • Slack shows quotation marks as typed, not as codes.
  • Map links say "workstream"; old links and saved views still work.
  • API and MCP: an organization's keys share a limit of 1,000 requests a minute, with HTTP 429 and Retry-After beyond it.
  • API and MCP: "folder" names are now "workstream"; the old names keep working until at least 1 October 2026.
  • API and MCP: searches say when results were cut short, and large list pages may return fewer rows than requested.
  • API and MCP: archiving many items or workstreams in one call works; the permission summary is capped at 5,000 items. 📚 API keys
