This roundup brings together our recent major improvements, including the Personas and automation capabilities introduced earlier this month, plus the latest everyday fixes.
Assign work to Engineer, QA Analyst, or another Persona before choosing who will do it. Add a compatible person when you're ready, then group time reports and 2D boards by Persona to see the work each function is doing. Recorded time keeps its original Persona when assignments change.
Start in Settings → Organization → Personas, then give people their Personas in Users. Personas describe work; they do not grant access.
When a Story finishes, automatically complete its direct child items, subtasks, or both. Close the accompanying QA work without manually visiting every task.
Choose Status Changed, add Item Type = Story, and select Complete Child Items or Subtasks. Children use their own Done status.
📚 Configure child-work completion
Use Item Stays Done on Board to remove completed items from a perpetual board, or move them elsewhere, after chosen hours or days. Checks run hourly for items completed after the rule is enabled. Items and their history remain in the workstream.
You can also permanently remove archived boards and board folders while retaining their work items.
The Description field is now available as a column in Items, My Work, board tables, and Child Items. Scan descriptions alongside your other fields, then click a cell to read or edit the full content.
Your saved column choices stay intact. Enable Description in Table columns if it is not visible.
Administrators can turn off Allow Parent Item Time Entries in Settings → Organization → Time Tracking → General to allow new entries only on work types with no child types. It is on by default; existing parent-item entries remain viewable, editable, and removable.
