🚀 Sign up with Google or Microsoft

Google and Microsoft used to be an alternate way to sign in to an account you had already created with a password. Now they're a way to create the account in the first place.

On the sign-up page, accept the terms and choose Sign up with Google or Sign up with Microsoft. You authenticate with that provider and come straight back with your account made — never choosing a DevStride password at all.

• One person, one account. If the address already belongs to a DevStride account, you're simply signed in to it and the provider is linked for next time. Signing up with Google doesn't quietly create a second you.
• The buttons wait for your agreement. They stay greyed out until you've accepted the terms of use and privacy policy — choosing a provider sends you straight to them, so your agreement is recorded before you leave.
• You still need an email address. It's where notifications go and how invitations find you, so sign-up completes only if your provider tells us your address. Nearly every Google and personal Microsoft account does; if yours doesn't, you're pointed at email-and-password sign-up rather than left with a failure to interpret.
• Only configured providers appear. If your provider has no button, sign up with an email address and password.

Email-and-password sign-up is completely unchanged, and so is signing in — with a password, with a social provider, or through enterprise SSO.
