Teams

Create teams, add and remove members, set a team's business hours for Service Desk, and archive teams you no longer use.

Teams group the people who work together so you can assign work to a team, filter and report by team, and (with Service Desk) measure a team's tickets against its own business hours. Every item can carry a team, and many filters, boards and reports let you slice by it.

Where to find it

Configure Settings → Organization → Teams. The page needs the Manage teams permission (held by the default Owner and Admin roles, and by any role given the Manage people template). The Invite Users button on this page opens the same invitation dialog as the Users page.

The table lists each team with its Roster: the first few members' avatars, a +N more count, and View All to open the full roster. Use Search for Teams to narrow the list and Show Archived to include archived teams.

Creating a team

  1. Click New Team.
  2. Enter a Team Name.
  3. Under Users, pick the members. Turn on Add multiple users to select several at once.
  4. Leave Business Hours on Inherit organization default unless this team supports customers on a different schedule (see below).
  5. Click Create Team.

People can belong to several teams. Adding someone to a team does not change what they are allowed to see or do; access comes from their role and sharing.

Editing, archiving and restoring

Hover a row and click the pencil (Edit Team) to rename the team, change its members or its business hours, then click Update Team. The red X (Archive Team) retires the team: it disappears from pickers and filters, items that carried it keep it for history, and Show Archived lets you find it again and Unarchive it. Only the name of an archived team can be edited.

Business hours for Service Desk

A team's Business Hours is the calendar its Service Desk tickets are measured against: SLA clocks and automations that count business hours pause outside it. Inherit organization default uses the schedule set in Settings → Service Desk → Schedules; choose a specific schedule for a team in another region or with different support hours. See SLA and time-based automations.
