My Account

History

My Account → History lists every place you opened in the current organization over the last 30 days, grouped by day, and follows you to any browser or computer you sign in on.

History is the list of everywhere you have been in DevStride lately. Use it when you remember looking at something last week but not what it was called, or when you want to pick up on your laptop where you left off at your desk.

Open your history

  • Open My Account from your avatar in the top bar and choose History.
  • Or open the search at the top of the screen and click See your full history under your recent places.
  • Or search for History: the page is listed as My account: History.

Every member has a History page; there is nothing to switch on.

What it shows

The places you opened in the organization you are in over the last 30 days: pages, work items, workstreams, board folders, boards, cycles and Gantt charts, plus items and workstreams you created.

  • Grouped by day. Places are listed under Today, Yesterday, and then one heading per earlier day, such as Tuesday, October 27. Days follow your computer's calendar, so something opened at 11:59 PM is yesterday's, not today's.
  • Each place once. A place you opened several times appears once, at the last time you opened it. Open it again and it moves to the top.
  • Most recent first. Each row shows the time you last opened the place; hover it for the full date and time.
  • The first 50 places show at once. Show older places at the bottom adds more.

Click a row to open the place. Work items open in the item drawer and workstreams on the Map; hold Alt as you click to swap the two, as in the search.

Where it is kept

Your history is kept with your account on DevStride's servers, not in your browser, so it follows you to every browser and computer you sign in on. It is yours alone: nobody else in your organization sees it.

  • One list per organization. When you switch organizations, History, and the recent places under the search, show what you opened in that organization.
  • 30 days. Places you have not opened for 30 days drop off. DevStride keeps up to 1,000 places per organization.
  • Deleted places disappear. A place that has since been deleted, such as a board or Gantt someone removed, leaves the list.
  • Your old recent list is kept. The recent places your browser remembered before History existed are copied into it the first time you open that organization in that browser.

The newest of these places also appear under Recent when you open the search, so most of the time you will not need to open History at all.
