Filters in the "Gantt" Section of DevStride
The Gantt chart in DevStride is a project management tool that illustrates a project schedule, helping teams to plan, coordinate, and track specific tasks in a project. The filters in the Gantt section allow users to display tasks that match certain criteria. This guide will walk you through using filters in the Gantt section.
Accessing Filters
To access filters in the Gantt chart:
- Navigate to the Gantt section from the main sidebar.
 - Click on the 
Filtersbutton on the top-right toolbar, adjacent to theScenariosandWeeksdropdowns. 
Types of Filters Available
The Gantt section offers a variety of filters to help you focus on specific aspects of your project:
- Parent: View tasks that are part of a larger parent task.
 - Item Type: Filter tasks based on their item type, such as Milestones, Tasks, etc.
 - Team: Display tasks that are assigned to a selected team.
 - Assignee: Show tasks that are specifically assigned to a team member.
 - Priority: Sort tasks by their priority level.
 - Tag: View tasks associated with particular tags.
 - Field: Use custom fields to filter tasks.
 - Cycle: Display tasks associated with a specific cycle.
 - Board: Filter tasks based on their board status.
 - Status: Sort by the status of tasks (e.g., In Progress, Completed).
 - Start Date: Filter tasks based on their start date.
 - Due Date: View tasks according to their due date.
 - Time Spent: Display tasks based on the amount of time spent on them.
 
Applying Filters
To apply a filter on the Gantt chart:
- Click on the 
Filtersbutton to display the dropdown menu. - Select the desired filter category.
 - Choose the specific criteria from the options provided.
 - The Gantt chart will update to show only the tasks that meet the chosen filters.
 
Combining Filters
You can apply multiple filters to narrow down the tasks displayed:
- Set the first filter as per the instructions above.
 - Reopen the 
Filtersmenu to apply additional filters. - The Gantt chart will adjust to show items that correspond to all the selected criteria.
 
Clearing Filters
To clear filters on the Gantt chart:
- To remove a specific filter, click the 
Xon the filter tag displayed at the top of the chart. - To clear all filters at once, click the 
Filtersbutton and then selectClearfrom the dropdown menu. 
Clearing filters will reset the Gantt chart to its default state, showing all tasks without any filters applied.
