# Managing Options in Boards

Devstride's "Boards" section provides a visual overview of your project's workflow. Customize your board's display to show or hide specific information that is relevant to your needs.

Accessing Board Options

  1. Select the Boards section from the left-hand navigation panel.
  2. Click on the Options button located at the top of the screen, next to the Sort and Export buttons.

Customizing Board Views

Within the options menu, you can control which fields are visible on your board:

Hidden Fields

  • Click on the Hidden Fields toggle to access a checklist of fields you can choose to display or hide on the board. This allows you to streamline your view to focus on the details that are most important to you.

  • Check or uncheck the boxes next to each field name to customize your display. Options include:

    • Item Type: The category of the cycle item.
    • Parent Path: The hierarchy or path leading to the item.
    • Subtasks: Any sub-items associated with the main cycle item.
    • Dependencies: Linked items that the cycle item depends on.
    • Due Date: The deadline assigned to the cycle item.
    • Comments: Notes or discussions attached to the item.
    • Tags: Labels used for categorization or filtering.
    • Priority: The importance or urgency level of the item.
    • Time Spent: The amount of work time recorded against the item.
    • Time: Other time-related fields.
    • GitHub: Integration status or links related to GitHub repositories.
  • After making your selections, click Apply to update your board.

Applying Changes

  • Once you've chosen which fields to hide or display:
    • Press the Apply button to refresh the board with your preferences.

Clearing Selections

  • If you decide you want to see all available fields again:
    • Simply click the Clear button within the Hidden Fields menu to deselect all options.
    • Click Apply to revert your board to a full-detail view.
